Hi! My name is Ramisa, and I’m a dedicated science tutor with a passion for helping students succeed in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. I’m currently studying Biochemistry at the University of Birmingham, where I’ve developed a strong understanding of the sciences and how to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively. My approach to teaching is centred around the individual student. I believe that every learner is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and preferred ways of learning. I work closely with each student to understand how they learn best and tailor my teaching methods to suit their needs. I can provide GCSE and A level tutoring across Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology—subjects I studied myself and achieved highly in. Having experienced the challenge of transitioning from GCSE to A level, I understand how demanding this step can be. I aim to provide clear guidance, effective study strategies, and encouragement to help students build confidence and achieve strong results. A key part of my tutoring involves working through past papers and real exam questions to strengthen understanding and develop exam technique. By identifying common question patterns and improving response structure, I help students approach exams with clarity and confidence. I take pride in seeing my students grow in both knowledge and self-belief. My goal is to create an engaging, supportive environment where students feel motivated to learn, make progress, and reach their full potential.

I have two years of experience tutoring GCSE and A level Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology, helping students improve grades, build confidence, and develop effective exam strategies. In addition, I have mentored students on study techniques, exam preparation, and university applications, including guidance on personal statements and academic portfolios. Academically, I have conducted group research projects on Huntington’s Disease and genetically modified crops such as Golden Rice, and I have written science blogs for platforms like BiFor, translating complex topics into clear and engaging explanations.
