Hi there! I’m Theo, a passionate TEFL-certified English teacher and multi-subject tutor. I’m a native English speaker with a deep love for languages, history, and music. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me playing guitar, composing music, or diving into fascinating historical events. In addition to teaching English, I also offer lessons in a variety of academic subjects like history, geography, and literature, along with guitar and music theory. I’ve worked with students of all ages and levels, refining a friendly and adaptable teaching style that works across disciplines. Whether you’re learning a new subject or improving your musical skills, I bring my enthusiasm and expertise to help you thrive. I understand the challenges of learning new things firsthand. As a speaker of both Italian and German, I use that experience to make learning English — or any subject — engaging and rewarding. And when it comes to guitar, my years of practice and passion will get you strumming confidently in no time. My goal is to create a relaxed learning environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes, whether you’re mastering an academic subject or jamming on the guitar. Every lesson is interactive, personalized, and tailored to your interests and goals. Ready to unlock your potential? Let’s chat and schedule your first lesson today!

My professional journey began as an Inclusion Worker at Bristol Hospital Education Service, where I supported students who had been out of mainstream education. This role involved engaging empathetically with students to understand their unique needs and helping them develop the skills required to reintegrate into mainstream or further education. I monitored students' welfare, assisted in teaching, took minutes of meetings, and organised diaries for students and staff. This experience underscored the importance of empathy, strong communication, and organisational skills in an educational setting. Since September 2021, I have been working as a Private TEFL/Academic Tutor at Greenhouse Learning in Bristol and as a self-employed tutor. In this role, I have planned and delivered structured content to prepare students for exams, created engaging activities to reinforce their knowledge, and taught subjects including History, Music, and English. I have successfully taught both face-to-face and online, adapting my teaching methods to suit different learning environments. Building rapport with students and liaising with their families has been a key aspect of my success, ensuring a supportive and collaborative learning atmosphere. My commitment to quality education and professionalism is reflected in the positive feedback and satisfaction of my students and their families. From May 2022 to May 2023, I worked as a Secondary School Cover Supervisor through the Prospero Recruitment Agency in Bristol. I covered lessons in various subjects, delivering high-quality education and adapting quickly to new teaching environments and students. This role required flexibility, quick thinking, and the ability to maintain classroom discipline and engagement while providing constructive feedback to students to aid their learning and development. Furthermore, as a Freelance Music Teacher at Bristol Beacon from September 2021 to April 2023, I taught music to a variety of age groups in school settings. This role helped me develop strong time management and planning strategies, essential for an independent teacher. I created lesson plans, assessed student progress, and tailored my teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of my students, all while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. The combination of these experiences has equipped me with the ability to deliver high-quality education, manage diverse classrooms, and support students’ academic and personal growth effectively. I am dedicated to maintaining professionalism, providing constructive feedback, and creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. My approach is student-centred, aiming to foster a love of learning and critical thinking skills in my students.
